  • A sip of distinction: Forged from the robust Sayama tea leaves, this Japanese black tea unveils a profound sweetness and richness, inviting appreciation in its pure form or alongside a hint of milk.
  • Cacao notes: A subtle sweetness, accompanied by an aromatic, cacao-like fragrance that elevates the tea's profile.
  • This Japanese black tea emerges from the hands of tea master Hideki Ikeya from Ikenoya Tea Graden in Saitama whose accolades include the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Award in both tea production and appraisal.
About sayama tea:
Sayama tea is a type of green tea leaves produced mainly in the southwestern region of Saitama Prefecture and a small neighboring area in Northwestern Tokyo. In comparison to teas from other tea-growing regions in Japan, Sayama Tea is characterized with its thick leaves. Tea extracted from such thick leaves resulted in a distinct sweet and rich flavor. Sayama tea has been found to have some of the highest levels of the beneficial antioxidants found in green tea.
